Nine New Ways to Protect Hands at Work

March 30, 2016, Posted in News

Press Release

MEMPHIS, TN—March 29, 2016—Radians®, a global leader in personal protective solutions to keep workers safe, is aggressively expanding their glove line to help reduce hand injuries.

Hand injuries are the second leading cause of work-related injuries, which are expected to reach three million this year. The Bureau of Labor Statistics states that 70% of hand injuries occur because workers—especially construction workers—don’t wear hand protection primarily because of dexterity issues.  The other 30% of workers are wearing the wrong glove for the application.

Radians has added nine new gloves to protect hands at work. The new line includes protective gloves with dexterity, cut protection, abrasion resistance and thermal plastic rubber (TPR) overlays for impact protection.

“With Radians developments in glove technology to enhance dexterity, comfort and safety, users will be able to select the correct gloves, based on their job applications and hand injuries will decrease,” said Radians President, Bill England.  “Hand protection is one of Radians’ fastest growing product categories because we offer a quality product line with great features. Our product managers and safety specialists are equipped with the expertise and knowledge to help our customers choose the right glove for the application.”

Radians expanded line includes:

  • Three new CE Cut 3 gloves in 13 gauge (RWG534), 15 gauge (RWG536), and 18 gauge (RWG533)

  • Four general purpose coated gloves (RWG14, RWG15, RWG16) one of which is a two-ply winter coated glove (RWG17)

  • One CE Cut 5 glove with Thermal Plastic Rubber (TPR) overlays for impact-resistant protection (RWG603)

  • One CE Cut 5 glove with TPR overlays for impact-resistant protection and a 7 gauge acrylic terry liner for warmth in cold conditions (RWG604)

Radians glove line is available in a variety of sizes, materials, coatings, gauge choices, and cut protection levels to satisfy a wide range of industrial applications. For more information, call toll free 1-877-723-4267 or visit www.radians.com.

Radians continues to add protective eyewear with progressive styling

February 29, 2016, Posted in News

Radians® recently launched three new styles of safety glasses in their Radians branded line of protective eyewear with progressive styling for the industrial markets.

The new styles include the T70, T71, and T72. All three styles exceed ANSI Z87.1+ standards, protect against 99.9% of harmful UV rays and include a hard coat polycarbonate lens to protect against scratches. All three styles have progressive styles and cool lens choices, including ice, copper, and yellow mirror.

The T70 is a substantial safety glass with a wide, full wraparound frame. Designed for workers with wider heads and fuller faces, the T70 provides the fit and protection that smaller glasses can’t provide.  Available in a cool-looking metal gray frame, the T70 comes with a neck cord so safety glasses are within easy reach.

The T71 meets VO Ballistic Standards MIL-PRF-3103 for law enforcement, first responders, and workers who need additional protection because of their dangerous work environments. Additional comfort is provided by the dual mold rubber temples and adjustable rubber nosepiece.

The T72 has a progressive, bayonet-styled lens and non-slip temples and a soft rubber nosepiece for a secure, comfortable fit. The T72 is available in clear, smoke, amber, and copper lenses. Copper lenses block blue light and are ideal for workers who work outdoors in medium to bright conditions where sunlight and glare cause eye strain and fatigue.

Radians Foam Earplug Dispensers

December 21, 2015, Posted in News

Radians Foam Earplug DispensersRadians has just launched new patent-pending Disposable Foam Earplug Dispensers that are available with two of their popular Made in the USA foam plugs, the Resistor and Detour.

These innovative dispensers are a game-changer for workplace safety because they have several patented design features which make the dispenser easy to use, easy to refill, and easy on the environment too.

The reusable dispenser, which comes with a space-saving, slim vertical dispenser box, is easy to mount and refill. Engineered with a variable mounting bracket, the dispenser is easily installed on peg board, slat wall, wire cages, warehouse racks, and drywall, which means you can easily control placement in high traffic areas.

To refill, simply remove the empty box and refill with the replacement dispenser box, which comes in quantities of either 250 or 500 foam earplugs.

The patented flexible structure of the vertical box uses less material than typical dispensers in the marketplace, making Radians’ new dispenser extremely economical and gentler on the environment than traditional plastic dispensers. The patented 360° bi-directional rotating funnel provides workers with quick and easy access to the earplugs, which always helps to increase worker compliancy.

The dispensers are available in their uncorded Made in the USA Resistor plug (PDFP70) and their Detour plug (PDFP30). Both styles of disposable foam plugs have a 32NRR.
