Radians is excited to join in 2022 Construction Safety Week! Safety Week is an annual industry event that started in 2014 when more than 40 national and global construction firms which comprised the Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI) group and the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) CEO Forum joined forces with a single aim: to inspire everyone in the industry to be leaders in safety.
Safety is a value, a belief, and an obligation that unites us across individual teams, companies, and the entire industry. It’s a connection that is seen and felt between our fellow workers on the job site, between office, management, and craft, between companies and even competition, who stand together to keep everyone safe and improve our safety culture industry-wide. It’s a strong bond that keeps us connected to each other, and to something bigger than ourselves. We are responsible for the well-being and safety of everyone on every job site. And it is through this connectedness that we are able to ensure everyone can do their best work and return home safely every day.
CONNECTED
Being connected gives us strength because it means we are not alone. It means we’re side-by-side in building a stronger, safer industry, and in creating a safe, supportive environment for our workers, so they go home safe to their families.
SUPPORTED
Supported means we are here to help each other stay present and focused on the job, regardless of our role or workplace setting. It means ensuring our workers are equipped with the resources and support they need to work safe every day.
SAFE
And when we’re connected and supported, we are better able to look out for ourselves and our teams. Together, we are able to create a safety culture that supports the mental, emotional, and physical health of everyone on every job site.
By normalizing these discussions and providing the right tools and resources, we strengthen our connections and cultivate a safe space where everyone feels supported. It’s not enough to have safety rules and protocols in place, it takes the commitment of every worker, every team, and every company to have each other’s backs in every possible way. The more we stay connected and committed, the more we can show up fully to support one another. And the more we feel supported, the more safe choices we make, and the better work we deliver, leading to safer selves, safer teams, and safer job sites.
