WHY WEAR A TYPE II HELMET?

Type II helmets offer increased protection against TBIs over traditional Type I hard hats and helmets.

Protecting your head is vital. On average, over 1.7 million traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are reported each year.* On most job sites, hard hats and safety helmets are often the only line of defense against TBIs. While Type I hard hats only protect the top of the head, Type II safety helmets offer enhanced protection against vertical and lateral impacts and offer superior retention in the event of slips, trips, and falls.

Type II helmets offer enhanced protection by protecting against top, side, front, and back impacts. This is achieved by reinforcing the shell and adding an impact rated foam interior.
