Frequently Asked Questions

  • If your battery is fully charged, the heat should last up to 10 hours on low, up to 8 hours on medium and up to 3 hours on High. Before using your heated gear, fully charge the battery. This can take up to 6 hours.

  • If you're looking for help with your Heated Gear, a great place to start is our Heated Gear Quick Start video. 

    Make sure your battery is fully charged. Attach it to the cord in your RHG apparel. Press and hold the R battery button on the outside of your RHG. The light will come on when it’s ready to start heating up. Cycle through to the high setting (Red) and allow your RHG to preheat for about 5 minutes. Then set it to your desired temperature.

    (Red – High, White – Medium, Blue – Low)

  • As long as you follow the manufacturer's instructions, heated clothing is perfectly safe for extended wear. Just keep an eye on the heat settings to make sure you're comfortable. If you start feeling overheated, simply adjust the settings or switch it off.

  • It is not recommended that you use the battery while it is charging.

  • Yes. You can use the USB port on the battery to charge your phone and other electronic devices. Please check your electronic device manuals before doing so for their charging recommendations.

  • Yes. All Radians Heated Gear items include a battery, charger, and charging cord.

  • Your Radians Heated Gear is machine washable although hand wash is recommended.

    Place the apparel into a mesh laundry bag before putting it into the washing machine.

    Follow the care instructions on the garment tags. Machine wash, gentle cycle, or hand wash in cold water.

    • DO NOT iron.
    • DO NOT use with bleach or any other harsh cleaning agents.
    • DO NOT wring or twist the apparel.
    • DO NOT dry clean.
    • DO NOT machine dry.

  • No. Radians Heated Gear items are made from polyester, nylon, and cotton fabrics. They are not FR-rated. All items also contain wiring.
