Radians recently exhibited at the annual Mexican Safety Expo in Mexico City at the Banamex Center. Radians was one of the newest exhibitors at this international show exhibiting along side other safety companies, including 3M, Vallen, Encon, MSA, Honeywell, PIP, and MCR Safety.
Sponsored by the Latin America Security Association, “the show is really three expos in one combining security, safety, and fire all under one roof,” said Marcela Hill, graphic designer for Radians Latin Marketing/Industrial division. Hill attended the show with Luis Soto, Radians Latin America Sales Director.
According to Occupational Health & Safety, the show attracted close to 14,000 security and safety professionals, allowing Hill and Soto to collect nearly 400 sales leads.
Soto said the show was very strategic from a marketing perspective because it showed our customers and competitors, “the serious arrival and participation of Radians in the Mexican safety market.”
“The safety market in Mexico is still growing and is heavily influenced by the push from USA and European companies for PPE in the automotive, oil & gas, and mining industries, said Soto. “Mexican public safety markets are increasingly specifying American National Standard Institute (ANSI) standards for the products they buy, which gives Radians an excellent opportunity for growth particularly in our growing RadWear reflective wear business.”
What lines were the hot pick at the Radians exhibit? Hill said our DeWALT line and our RadWear Hi-Viz line attracted a lot of attention, so much so that our competitors were a little surprised by our presence at the show.”
Hill and Soto were able to visit with existing customers, such as Home Depot, CFE, and Lear and began establishing new relationships with the Mexico City International Airport, Ford, Magid de Mexico, and VW.
